Trauma-Informed Content Consultant

Trauma Informed Content Consultant: Authentic, Clear and Ethical Content for Helping Professionals

Your words should reflect the care, integrity, and intention behind your work.

If you work in trauma-informed practice, counselling, coaching, conscious parenting, charities, community care, or another helping profession, you know that words matter. The way we speak about trauma, healing, relationships, and human behaviour can shape how people understand themselves and the support available to them.

Yet finding the right words to communicate your work isn't always easy. You may have a wealth of knowledge and a genuine desire to help, but struggle to translate your approach into language that feels clear, accessible, and authentically yours.

This is where I can help.

Drawing on my background in international nonprofit leadership, law and legal studies, social justice and human rights work, child welfare, and trauma-informed practice, I help helping professionals develop thoughtful, ethical content that communicates their work with clarity, compassion, and integrity.

My approach is grounded in the belief that people deserve to be represented with dignity, that complex ideas can be communicated in accessible language, and that meaningful work doesn't need exaggerated promises or polished personas to speak for itself.

I believe that, deep down, you know what you want to say. You know what matters to you, what you believe in, and what you hope to offer the people you work with. Sometimes, finding the words to communicate that clearly to others is the difficult part.

My role isn't to tell you what to say or reshape your work into something it isn't. It's to listen, ask thoughtful questions, understand the values and intentions behind your work, and help translate what you want to communicate into words that feel genuinely yours.

Together, we find the language that reflects not just what you do, but who you are, how you work, and what makes your approach meaningful.

The result is content that feels authentic rather than manufactured, clear without losing nuance, and professional without losing its humanity.

You bring the knowledge, experience, and intention. I help you find the words that bring them to life.

Let's Work Together!

  • Website content and service descriptions that communicate who you are, why you do what you do, what you do, who you serve, and what people can expect when working with you.
  • Professional bios and introductions that reflect your authentic self, your experience, values, and unique approach without feeling impersonal or overly polished.
  • Trauma-informed language and content reviews that identify potentially shaming, pathologizing, or disempowering language and offer more respectful alternatives.
  • Educational and reflective content for articles, newsletters, social media, and other resources that help people engage with complex ideas.
  • Ethical messaging for helping professionals that respects client autonomy, avoids unrealistic promises, and communicates the scope and boundaries of your work clearly.

A Thoughtful, Human Approach to Communication

I don't believe in making your work sound like everyone else's, nor do I believe that effective communication requires you to adopt a particular voice, follow every marketing trend, or make promises you cannot ethically guarantee.

Instead, I work with you to understand the heart of who you are, what you stand for, what you believe in, what you do, the people you hope to reach, and the values that guide your practice.

Together, we can find language that is accessible without oversimplifying, professional without becoming impersonal, and compassionate without losing clarity.

Because the work of helping others deserves communication that reflects the same care and integrity.

Let's Find the Words That Feels True to Your Work.

Whether you are building a new practice, refreshing your website, or reviewing the language you use to communicate your services, I would love to help you bring greater clarity, authenticity, and ethical intention to your content.

Let's start with a conversation.
